I had forgotten I had tried to grow a pear tree from a cutting back in 2008! It did not take!
Last year, we bought an established young pear tree (one of three fruit trees we introduced to our garden). This was to encourage birds and 'do our bit' for the environment as we originally had no trees in our garden!
We had a good first crop and a full freezer draw by the end of the season! Whilst I am merrily enjoying fruit for breakfast, I am keeping an eye on the development of this years growth. Will I need to prune or leave well alone?
