My Norfolk Island palm has been loving the tons of rain we’ve received here in San Diego in January. Photo taken January 22, 2023.

It wasn’t too happy this past summer. It didn’t like the very hot weather. It’s native to Norfolk Island which has a very mild oceanic subtropical climate. It very goes below 55 degrees or above 84 degrees on the island. It very commonly gets into the 90’s or even over 100 degrees here especially in late summer and fall.

Stan,
Yes, it is a pretty easy palm to grow here. It’s only downsides are it requires tons of water and doesn’t like a lot of heat.
