I agree with Julia, it sounds like a really lovely day out - so much to see and enjoy!
Must have been a real treat to catch sight of all those wonderful red kites!
Your pic is a pretty carpet of crocus! Beautiful colour.

Meadowland, did you know the Welsh feeding programme to encourage them has been so successful they are beginning to be a nuisance again? We often see them over here in Pembrokeshire.

Lovely crocuses, FF. We used to visit Waterperry when we lived in Oxfordshire and thought the herbaceous borders stunning. As for Kites, we see a few too, here. On the way back from Chippenham yesterday we were surprised by the numbers in the countryside nearby. They are a success in Oxfordshire, so graceful.

Forgot to say that when I saw that stupendous purple border I thought for a minute it was your garden! I wonder how many bulbs they planted for a display like that!

Stera, I had a better pic of an even bigger area of these Crocuses but it didn’t upload as it was too big. I suppose I could try adjusting it. There were several bumble bees amongst the blooms.

Went to Waterperry Gardens in Oxfordshire today. Very overcast and cloudy when we set off but the sun came out when we arrived at noon and we had 4 hours there. Plenty to see, apart from all the snowdrops which it is famous for, a museum, a very ancient church, garden centre & of course a tea shop.I saw so many Red Kites on the journey home. I see them here at home in Surrey, but usually only one at a time. Nice that we have put a species back again which we previously shot to extinction in the UK.
