Witch's Broom??

This is on our inherited old plum tree.
Witch's Broom is a mutated mass of dense deformed twigs and foliage
If twigs of witch's broom are grafted onto a normal rootstock, the attacking organism will change the inherited growth pattern. Some enthusiasts are seeking these to grow original plants.
I am not sure if this is actually witch's broom or some other nature phenomena.
Very interesting information, Klahanie. I may go look up some more later.
