Spirea japonica Gold Flame

Julia, I have a mature Spiraea 'Shirobana' and fear I have have pruned it too harshly. Hope it recovers!

I was trying to remove any dead stuff and just seemed to keep on going ... :o(

It's a lovely one, Julia. Looks effective against the dark background too.
