Yes we are a bit later in our growing season here in on the east coast , Nova Scotia, as compared to the UK. The last two of my bearded irises opened today , July1st.

Beautiful collection of Iris. Are they flowering now for you in Canada? Here in southern UK mine have finished and some had pods on them before I cut them off.
