New garden, new birds!

This Pied Wagtail has been a regular visitor to the garden these past few weeks. I wonder if it’s just wintering here or is a local bird? - time will tell.
I cut the grass yesterday morning and then spent a few hours scarifying the lawn, it really needs some TLC. I’d like to be able to recover it rather than re-lay it, although once I’ve cut some borders out there won’t be a lot left. Lol.

We see them over winter, too - 3 regulars. We have had a green and spotted woodpecker helping us scarify in the last week or two, so lovely to see. You have captured it well. Good luck with your lawn, Muddy.

Hi Muddy, when the winters are very cold we get Pied wagtails feeding in the garden. They only usually stay until the springtime, but it's lovely to see them.
