My loquat tree is putting out new leaves. Two loquat trees popped up in my front yard (from birds) about two years ago. I dug them out to give away, but decided to keep them for loquat leaf tea. Photo taken February 27, 2024.

Yes, and it has such a natural sweet flavor. My larger tree is about 6 ft (2m) tall.
The large loquat trees around here are all with ripe fruit right now.
The trees here are only 20 ft tall. In the SF Bay Area loquat trees grow into massive trees more than 40 ft (14 m) tall. Klahanie they probably grow massive there like in the SF Bay, also. Probably due to better soil and higher rainfall.
