These Amelanchier have been in this border at least 5 years I was hoping they would help to disguise the ugly fence. They aren’t growing very quickly.

It's very frustrating waiting for things to grow! I have spots, like yours, HB, where I am getting very irritated by insufficient growth to cover ugliness. The amelachier is a nice shrub.
