It is, Karen. I have a very similar double form,'Tage Lundell' and that has all but died on me this year. That's the second clematis this season.. This is a weird year!

That is weird Ange. They are pretty robust as you know, and roots are very strong.

Yep, I've no idea, Karen, except the wind is quite ferocious up here. Having said that I've lost my 3rd 'Lady Cholmondeley' on the arch so I have given up with her. She's obviously too aristocratic and refined for the attention of the Lower Orders!

I do like this colour. Very strong.
