My largest pineapple plant has been in the ground for a year. The four other pineapples were planted today. Hopefully, the large one will bloom soon! I’ve grown many pineapples over the last 20 years and they are awesomely sweet compared to store-bought ones. Photo taken May 22, 2024.

I just added a sugar loaf pineapple yesterday. This is the sweetest variety and the core is edible.
