My neighbor planted a begonia that looks like this. It went wild, spreading seed everywhere and invading my pots.

Sorry to hear that, Wylie! 🙁 This is the first time I've grown this Begonia & it's quite different to any of the others I've grown in the past! As I deadhead the majority of my flowers - I did the Petunias on the balcony railings this afternoon - mine are unlikely to spread far & wide! Though having said that there are a few seedlings of Lobelias that have sprouted in my pots! Even a few Grape Hyacinths have escaped my notice & geminated in the grass outside our balcony! One year, some years ago a red Anemone appeared in the grass outside the balcony - unfortunately it didn't survive long as the council gardeners cut it down when they mowed the grass - the same happened with the Grape Hyacinths, only they flower again each year! There is a nice clump outside the balcony rails now! This year they flowered much better than in previous years & even the council gardeners left them alone till the flowers died! But then they were cut right down flat with the ground! 🙁 Nevertheless I expect it will grow again next year!

That happens with the Amaryllis belladonna here. They have been planted alongside the roads, everywhere. The Junta (village maintenance) strims the weeds, but leaves the flowers until they are done. The Amaryllis are all the normal pink ones, but I have been talking to a friend whose brothers raise milk cows and have some large pastures. We have been thinking of dividing my white ones and planting them among the pink ones. Surprise everyone with a color no one else has.
