Rose, Salvia and Cistus in the sunshine

Some friends have remarked that they wished Cistus would flower for longer. This is C. Creticus Siver Pink and it’s been flowering ever since I planted it about 7/weeks ago. This species tends to have a more scattered sprinkling of flowers, but over a much longer period. That’s why it’s my favourite. It also has silvery foliage which gives it a very Mediterranean feel.

I'm going over more to the paler pink shades, too, Karen. I had a friend who gardened in white, pale pinks and silver and I never 'got' it. I find it quite romantic now but wouldn't want subtlety all over my garden borders - love yellow and oranges too much! This will be an attractive space, I think.

Thank you Angela. Everything is growing fast now it’s warmed up.

That's such a pretty pic in entirety..
I do love to see Mediterranean style planting. I love the romance of it, as Ange mentioned. Plus, the 'escapism ' to an extent too :-)

Also, some plants have much paler pink flowers which I prefer to be honest.
