Fabulous design, NP have been looking for a chimenea for ages, but haven't seen anything like this. Wonderful, very creative!

im glad you liked it it cracked when i lit it but it will be allright and though i tried to make provission for not cracking i half expected it.i learn better from mistakes .and the fire made it go rather black lol.anyway time will tell.glad you like it.the shop baught ones only last a sunner if your lucky.built for destruction.if i had a bigger garden i would did down in a circuler shape with a pit at the bottem.maybe have ya head ad ground level.what do you think ?

NoseyPotter- I wonder if you used something more like terra cotta clay instead of cement if it wouldn't crack when fired up?

That's a shame NP. How about fire clay, it's cement that'll stand high temps.

i think it was the metal underneath.im not botherd realy.it will look good in a couple of years.its reinforced with chicken wire.if i built another i would do what ya said.thanx
