Spiraea with Bee.

Shirley, I have this shrub but every year it gets bad mildew & if I don’t spray the flowers don’t open. Elsewhere around the area I see it looking lovely. I keep debating whether to get rid of it. I think it gets too dry, but I don’t want to be watering & spraying,getting old!

Josie, two years ago I got carried away with thinning it out, almost pruned it to nothing and it has come back better than ever! Perhaps do the same with yours in the Autumn?

I have done this & it got mildew just the same!

There's no knowing why that happened then!
