Salvia ‘African Skies’

I’m so glad I chose to grow a lot of Salvias. They are wonderful plants, blooming for many months. And this one is such a pretty blue.

Well I am amazed how well mine are doing, when you consider the extremely heavy clay soil! We did add compost and grit.

Mine was clay Karen, but over the last 5 years have added compost too, plus there is lots of gravel on the top to deter the fox and cats. Maybe they don't get enough sun!

That could well be the problem. Mine are in the sunniest corner.

Salvias don't seem to like my garden Karen!
The flower borders only get sun part of the day, so maybe that's why.
Those are lovely.
