I took the decision to move them. They sulked for a few hours but are totally fine now. I’ll show you in the next pic. They were out of scale with the planting. This is the south west facing corner so it’s where I have my blackberries (just out of shot), strawberries, fig tree, courgettes and tomatoes. I always intended to have a productive garden. 8 also have trees in pots, apple, 2 lemons, three cherries, an almond, a greengage and a pear on order for autumn delivery. All self pollinating and on dwarf rootstocks. The lemons will come inside the patio doors for winter. Oh…I forgot the Olive tree! 🤪 Anyway, this corner is a lovely place to sit.

I have been tempted to try apple trees in pots but not sure if I would get much fruit.
I have a lemon tree in a pot which is 7 years old now and the last two years didn't fruit, but this year is covered.

Rose, I highly recommend Chris Bowers since Ken Muir closed down. I’ve had lovely plants from them and you can choose your rootstock. My apple tree has 2 apples this year!

Good grief Karen, you'll have a fruit stall out the front next year! :o))
I still find small V.B. seedlings in the front gravel garden after removing the plants years ago. Just be aware!
