Not a clue on statistics Marguerite - all I can say is that this region is called the Costa Verde - "verde" meaning "green" - so: Green Coast, and it's green because it rains and has snow in winter which causes streams of melt water. This has been a wetter year here than is usual, but we've also had some scorching weeks when it's been almost too hot to move - just about right for sitting in the shade of the balcony with icy G&Ts and watering the garden in the very early morning or late evening.
