These are some beautiful aerial-roots from this large Indian Banyan tree at the San Diego Zoo. Photo taken September 27, 2024.

Bromeliads are very commonly planted in the landscape here. They’re super easy to grow in sun or shade.

I would give my left pinkie for that. Looks super exotic and from what I've read they don't need misters or sprinklers wetting the whole lower part of the tree to grow those awesome roots
