That has to be the most stunning crocosmia I have ever seen. I love them with a passion but dont collect. Is what I have heard right! that they are now becoming a problem in the south of england?

Hi Lynne
What you heard is wrong. The Orange one called Crocosmia x crocosmiiflora (common montbretia) is like a weed. It spreads everywhere and is found all over the south of england and Ireland also. But i don't think it is a problem.
98% of crocosmia varieties are clump forming. They are no problem at all.
Janey
They are actually related to Freesia............. they both are from the Iridaceae family.
