A male deer is checking every plant and every pot around.
We have quire a few of them this year. Although I mainly grow the "deer resistant" plants, the young ones will taste everything. Its a challenge to keep them out.

I am glad that I am not only one here Bushbernie.
I do not chase them but usually spray the plants they seem to like with a spray the do not like.

Thank you Shirley_tulip. I do not mind our wild animals wondering around.....just have to teach them the limits.
Our property is big enough for all of us.

The only recommended way of keeping wallabies out of gardens here is to build a very very high fence. We thought we had a fairly high one, but quickly found out wallabies can jump very high when they need to! It would have been exorbitantly expensive to replace all the fencing on our property, so we just have to live with the wallabies.

It must be quite a challenge having to share your gardens with loads of wildlife! I don’t think I would like it! I’m far too plant-focused! :)

Thank you Bushbernie and Karen for your comments.
Lots of our neighbours and fends build a special compounds on their land for growing some vegetables and flowers. The walls around them have to be higher than 6 feet because deer can surprisingly jump over 6 feet easily. I was little disappointed when we moved here 22 years ago but over the time I grew up to be a nature lover. Although, I still manage to grow a variety of nice plants.

Wallabies do the same thing here. It can be hard to keep them at bay during a long dry season.
