Probably my favourite penstemon. Good dark colour flower that shows up particularly well against light foliage (from the house I can see it against euonymus 'Silver Queen). This one does better with a little shade rather than full sun. All my penstemons have been in flower for five months now - regular deadheading keeps them going and going and going
