My maprang is just starting to flower. I’ve had it for two years and it’s about 6 1/2 ft tall and was only 11 inches when it came from Puerto Rico two years ago. Now, I have to decide to cut off the flower spikes or not. This plant typically takes 8 to 9 years to flower and bear fruit. It typically grows very slowly in Southern California, but my little tree has grown very fast! Photo taken February 27, 2025.

It’s probably because it’s been relatively warm there.

The Mango on Tennyson is flushing. I don't get why.
