Have had this 10 years and it has never really done well due to gall midge so was going to move it earlier this year but ended up leaving it again but determined to get it moved at some point, anyway it became full of buds (no flower scapes at all last year for some reason), but flowers still not looking great. Decided to move it the other day as want the space for something better hopefully, hubby dug it up and I dug the new hole, (had some space in front of pruned weigela) it fit perfectly and now it is giving a few more flowers that don't look too bad!!

Thanks Klahanie, I guess I will see how it fairs next year 😀 It keeps clinging on but may be moved again probably and divided, it's pretty big:-)

I do like the colour to this one. At the moment I have 'Big Bird' and 'Burning Daylight' in flower, both gifted by Simbad some years ago.

Thanks Shirley, I will have a look at those, I like the colour too just a shame it's never flowered well although it looks like it is, it has been a funny one, most of the flowers are usually distorted, although seems to be doing a bit better at the moment

In the Autumn, or late Summer, I shall need to divide the clumps of those up. Would you be interested in them at all?

Jane, I have made a note to divide them up when they've finished flowering. Not for a while, obviously!
