Our American robin is a (Turdus migratorius)- thrush family, much bigger than your lovely one.
They call it Robin here because of their warm orange breast, and cheery song as yours . I love them they are very friendly.

Thank you for your comments Shirley. I just came home from the hospital after my hip replacement and missed about a week of GOY pics. I am still not mobile and might not enjoy all gardening this year.

Take things easy and make sure you do any exercises the medical team have recommended. I wish you a very good convalescence.

I second that ...you certainly haven't missed much on here Klahanie...GoY is hanging on by the skin of its teeth sadly . We've missed your beautiful garden.

Thanks for your lovely comment Julia. My garden doesn't seem to suffer as me :-)

Klahanie, how are you feeling now? A little more mobile?
It is far too hot here in the UK for me to do any gardening and there may well be a garden hosepipe ban in force soon.

I am still not very mobile Shirley but not as much painful as before the operation.
I hope that the weather will settle down soon for you. Our weather on South V. Island is just perfect at this moment.
