earlier in the summer , a different poppy plant bloomed a pale yellow, i didnt get a pic, dumb me :( but it was splendid!!

Have you still got the plant, suzy? I bet it's the perennial Cambrian or Alpine
Poppy. My mum has had them for years popping up everywhere in early
summer, really pretty.

i do, their still blooming. I just took new pix today, will see soon
