Two Clearwings and a Skipper

Here there are two Hummingbird Clearwing moths and a Skipper butterfly nectaring on Common Milkweed in my garden, early July.

Yes, they hover just like a hummingbird ! You can hear the wings humming too. They allow you to get really close most of the time.

Wish i could get the chance to photograph them. Here we have the Hummingbird hawkmoth, which is very similar but the last time i saw one was about 5 years ago. I liked the way they hovered.
