i lost a lot of fish when i first got the pond put in Amy due to the heron, havent lost any since i got a fake heron and put it beside the pond

That really does work then . we had a pond before we moved here and the Heron took the lot . We went to buy some more and put the poly bag on the water floating as you do before letting them out , we went inside and the dog that we had at the time obviously thought they needed rescuing because when we looked out of the window he had the bag on the lawn and was tearing it open .lol
