i hope someone can help me here.these bonzi trees need keeping a close eye on.i have herd of a way of sticking like a wick under it and the other end in a large vat of water so i can leave it for a little while without worrying about it.hint hint.if anyone knows please help

Firstly Leigh, your bonsai needs repotting. you can't do it now, you'll have to do it in spring. For a quality bonsai soil medium use "Tesco Sophisticat Pink" cat litter and 20 percent old pine bark. I jest you not!

oderless cat litter,not the wood kind is if you keep little rodents the best litter you can use as aposed to sawdust while were dishing out tips

p.s. Leigh, the cat litter is great for non bonsai trees, shrubs and plants too.
Tesco "Sophisticat Pink" cat litter is made from Danish Moler Clay.
DON'T use wood or paper pulp or clumping cat litter as it's no good for our purposes

Yeah, they dry out quick coz not much soil around the roots. Using a wick sounds a good idea - never tried anything like that myself tho...
