You can either train one of the stronger top shoots up to give it a bit of extra height, or left to its own devices the overlapping branches builds up a little bit of height very very slowly.

Ok, i really like this, but the area i have that might house one is quite small and near other plants, is it very greedy? i think you may of seen my pic's of the ugly area at the back of my garden, in the most recent i have decided to put a bench at the back of the garden, and what some tall but not too wide plants to hide the area behind were the bench will go, what do you think?

No larches are not really greedy plants, and as I am bias towards conifers, it will be perfect, the plant in the photo has been there for about ten years now, is little over 120cms high x 90cms wide,. The height was probably not much less than that when I got it, these weeping larches just generally fill out rather than get tall.

Thanks Bluespruce, i think i might need something a bit taller, but i really do like this, so i will ponder some more.
