Thanks, Pollyanna, this is the first season I have grown CB and I'm very impressed. I kept hearing "POISON...POISON! and that made me reluctant to try it...but this spring I was determined to have something large scale to add a middle level or layer to the garden..somewhere between the smaller trees and the lower shrubs...lol. I looked up Gunnera and really would have loved to have it, but, it might be chancy for overwintering and I don't have room in my house to take in the plants I'm keeping inside this winter...so... thought of brunnera,, I bought one but it needs a season or two to acclimate...still not large enough for my purposes... one day when brousing the seed display at WalMart I found Castor Bean! Eureka! The seedlings were an amazing size and it just kept on going from there! I will definitely plant them in my next garden.
