Gerbera

Are these easy to grow?

I sent for plugs this year early in the seaon an dthey have been slow growing ,just coming into bloom now.

In they past have grown from seed myself and have been esy to grow.

These will not stand the frost so will pot up and take indoors and treat as houseplant.

You can get hardy gerberas but still says even though hardy should be covered with added protection when frost comes.

When we lived in north Florida I worked at a small florist and we'd buy these from a local grower who came around in her van. She had some of the most unusual colors. We used them mostly for the dining rooms at the country club, always got lots of compliments!

I so love gerberas they are so beautiful.Wohlibuli been to Florida a few times and even for Xmas 2007.
