He looks very self confident.

He was Ams, there was a farm just across the road, he was the only one that ever came across to say hello, the residents loved him and he knew it.

What a fine old bird.

Chickens, hens etc. seem to be filed on GoY under Garden Furniture Ideas.
I wonder why this one was overlooked ???

mmmm, I have no idea Terratoonie, perhaps it's something that i haven't done. He's still a beauty where ever he's put.

Looks like some nice garden furniture in the background.
It could happen yet............:o)

The furniture is just outside of a home that i use to work in. unfortunately, the council at the time saw fit to close it, all the people had to be found other places to live.

It is sad when we hear of all these places closing down.

It is Terratoonie, I was very upset to see all the residence scattered to different homes. It was a home for people with Alzheimer's, so whether they knew any different .... who knows.

I am now working in a nursing home, which is much harder than looking after people with Alzheimer's.

It's been a very dreary, drizzly day here, I do need to get out in the garden to tidy it up a little, It just hasn't been fit, when i get home from work it's getting dark, where do the hours go to.

Some years ago my dogs entertained audiences in residential homes.
The elderly folk all enjoyed watching their trick performances !
I got to see the places from the inside, so to speak.

Yes, when you work a number of hours in a place like a nursing home, you do need to have a balance by spending some hours outdoors, gardening or just pottering.

Let's hope the weather will be kinder to you over the weekend. :o)
