Hummer Tongue

The hummingbird's wings move SO fast that it's often quite hard to get a pic that shows any wings at all. Today I got lucky. In this pic it seems that time just stood still for a fraction of a second. Notice the long skinny tongue reaching into the licorice plant.

Thanks so much Flcrazy ! I pull goldenrod out by the dozens but I let this clump bee and I'm SO glad I did. It brightens up the whole back garden.

I'm with Flcrazy this is a fantastic pic... also agree about the goldenrod...but it will take over if you're not vigilant. What a root system they have!!
