Angel rock

Angel rock

This area is old granite plutons from past volcanoes, a natural hot springs still active deeper up the valley.

What an amazing photo... the dead spruce standing there resemble the trees I spoke of before... ancient ..but dead..I guess that's an illustration of the natural way of things...the fire comes through to clear away derelicts and to scorch the cones so that they open and the seed has light and fertilizer when the next rain comes. it's not hard to appreciate the wilderness when you finally experience it...
