after seeing some of the wonderfull pics of insects shown by members, I felt inspired to try taking one myself. This is my result. the only problem I had taking the pic was that the bee refused to stand still

has to be fuchsias bonkers, my hedgerow here attracts loads of them, bumbles and honeybees. the local beekeepers ought to pay me a commission.

Great that you get loads of them - seem in short supply here .Is there such a thing as Orkney honey ? Reason I ask its being imported here due to short supply.

there are a few beekeepers in orkney but honey isn't being produced commercially up here as far as i know.
