Salvia...

Looks like a variety of salvia to me!

I didn't recognize this photo at first. A sign that I take way too many pics, lol. Funny you say that David. I had recently asked another member about a plant that they had posted. I guess that theirs was a salvia. Now that I look at this one...I think that they're the same plant. Thanks :)

Now, however, looking again, could it be a blue lobelia? Don't thank me yet, Tasteyg, the issue has just become more confusing!

Really funny that you say that...because today I was out in the garden and I looked up at my lobeila and I thought the same thing. The flowers look very similar, especially the lower lip. But now that I look at these closer, the top part of the flower (it has that hood, like salvias do) does look like salvia and the stalk and leaves as well.
