Painted Grasshopper

We see these occasionally around here. It's the first time I had seen such a colorful grasshopper until I saw the Homesteader Grasshopper in spring/summer of 2006. (next picture)

WOW..., Great close-up. He's so colorful and pretty, he doesn't look real...lol. If mine looked like this, I wouldn't mind having them eating all my flower leaves !

i used to have water dragons and grass hoppers were there favorite food but nothing like that great pic by the way

Actually, when I lived in and around Phoenix, I never saw any of these wierd colored grasshoppers but I've seen some different wildlife here in Clifton. (these grasshoppers are just some of them)
