The enemy can be so deceiving......

I think I am going to sneak out more in the moonlight hours and take photos such as this.
My own favorite not taking picture might apply to some of you, depending on the scenery available. Rising October. full moons have to be my most romantic remembrances, dare I say it risings ever. We are on a mountaintop overlooking the Puget Sound and Seattle. The moon rises over Seattle and sails its glimmer over the water. The moon is both above and beneath our toes. Then it advances and spears..
We have lost those dark skies most every where. Near Neah Bay we have a forlorn, lonely and beautiful lake. It is a quiet and flat and in the summer one can canoe at night without seeing another soul. Sometimes one hears a beaver splashing its tail. It is part of the serenade. The stars above are brilliant in their gifting. Their reflection by the water spirits below even more.
One slowly glides between two quiet skies, one above and one below. Only the call of the loon could have added substance.
Those are pictures I wish I had taken.
I stopped taking photos for a much too long time. Now I am going forward once again, wiser in more ways than one. I fear that my children will never taste the tales I once was able to cherish.
Thank you.

This was taken on a bright summer day! But looking at it with strangers' eyes it does look a bit nocturnal.
My feelings about photography vacillate. I prefer to remember past experiences from inside my head, rather than from the fixed images a random moment of photography produces. On the other hand it's pleasing to enable a stranger on another continent see a little of my world.

Oh dear, that last comment.
I" prefer to remember past experiences from inside my head, rather than from the fixed images a random moment of photography produces." Sadly this old head has forgotten too many past experiences. I am finding those photos do much to this old nogin of mine.
I have only one picture of a dear college buddy of mine. The three of us where were involved in many adventures. That one phot led to all of them, and then to the memories of the other friend. I had not thought about either for years.
