By the height of the plants this year...the corms must be huge...will be digging them soon.

Mine have enormous seed heads that are so heavy they touch the ground. Are they worth keeping, or are the corms the best way to go? And when should the corms be dug for winter storage in your experience?

I think that is the usual way that they spread, Gillian. and the little pods hold cormlets...I tried burying one but can't find where I put it!! I kept the seedheads last year...but they just shrivelled away in storage.. the corms however produced lots of progeny...so hopefully there are dozens more young corms out there to harvest... Will share them too if you want some.

The ones you sent me seem to be in great shape and I'm hoping will have produced more corms so I should be good thanks!
