Looks like you live in a little piece of social history. At least the mill and lace workers had pleasant rural locations even if their jobs were fraught with dangers, Can feel a real sense of community looking at this pic.
Oh a few of us older ones been reminiscing didnt realize you lived next door to The Scaffold.

Oh dear, Bonkers! I went to Uni in Liverpool in the 60s, so get your pun, such as it was. I never really appreciated UK history until I first visited California, and realised how recent (underlined) it was.

I love the old world look of a brick path and the gardens only enhance the enticing invitation to go for a walk...
