Beds all put to sleep

Still some bushes and the new bed to go, but I'm having a hard time taking out all the frozen in bloom annuals that are lingering.

I'd bring them all in, but I've only space to do that for a chosen few. I've let them freeze solid and stand through winter, but that becomes alien early january. Now I'll find the petals next spring, freeze-dried in the heap. :-)

These geranium petals will be just as red next spring. I'm guessing the bidens will shrivel, but still bright yellow. The petunia just browns up unless flash frozen and its already had a few thaws.

I hate to pull out the poor little guys too, resulted in a few cracked planters in the last few years. Just hate to part with all that life...
