And I just found a better picture of the inflorescence on the sauromatum when it first showed it's pretty little head.

A very strange plant. First the inflorescence appears, then that dies back (that's the stinky bit designed to attract flies for pollination). Then just one leaf appears on a snake skin mottled stalk. I have a photo of that somewhere which I'll post when I come across it.
