Colourful but I should imagine terrible for pollen suffers. They also use it as a break crop between cereal food crops.

Still, it makes a pretty photo....

We've lots of fields of this in the Spring, and looks beautiful but on approaching the village the sickly scent is overpowering for weeks, not good news for hayfever and asthma sufferers.

I agree the smell is far too strong!
