as you can see the grass never recovered from this summers heavy rains. im going to extend the patio slabs across this part of the garden

If you pave over make sure you have some kind of drainage to steer away from the house.

Apparently hard landscaping is responsible for a lot of flooding here in the UK.

Good Idea Irish, If we get more wet summers, it wont be much good as a Lawn anyway..

what a shame but sounds like a good plan. I have a small patch and to be honest i get fed up with tending it but its nice to see a little lawn.
