welcome to GOY, its nice to see yet another fuchsia fan, have you seen hywels fuchsias? it looks like you have a nice collection. I should imagine they are a bit easier to grow in devon than here. even most of the hardy ones have to be taken in for winter here

Sure i have seen Hywells, yes we have fairly mild winters and not seen a hard frost for ages, and we could do with a good cold winter to kill the bugs,

dave this was done last summer! im still unsure what you mean about leaving which ones and removing others so when the weather warms i will buy a new plant and be back in touch before i start hacking the wrong bits off thanks so much for your help,
