Took this picture to show the measures necessary to keep Robbie from digging up a newly planted bush. I think when I use bone meal it encourages him.

Great idea with the bricks. This stopped the digging?

In this spot, yes. He has dug holes in other places; keep me busy filling up after him! lol.

I was told by the garden centre not to use anything with bonemeal in if you have a dog because it just drives them crazy!

I know the feeling Roxy is now a year old and is starting to understand she's not allowed to eat my plants. I started a new boarder in the spring and she was intent on finding out what smelt so good. Not a problem when Ihad just dug it over and added bone meal but annoying once the new plants are in and you find her digging away and throwing the plants about.
