Absolutely - I was singing it! I actually have a cassette tape of Wombling songs that I used to force the children to listen to in the car.
Funny enough, my mother used to live very close to Wimbledon Common!
I even went to Shepperton Studios open house one year and saw the Wombles set.

Wimbledon is where my grandfather had his first head gardener job.

HUGE posh houses, no wonder they needed gardeners! You have to be seriously rich to live in SW19 now!

Large house in Wimbledon, though my relatives did used to play tennis on the courts.
