The gnarls are supposed to resemble peanuts, hence the name. Irish are carbuncles, like barnacles? Newfie, there was another variety there that had more pronounced warts. Jeff bought one, I'll have to photograph it.

I've never seen so many varieties of pumpkins. Smooth orange is my total experience.

Gardengnome I'm glad to share with you the wide variety of pumpkins out there.
Irish- I just looked up the word carbuncles and I wish I hadn't...sounds pretty gross. lol yuck!
