They were in flower earlier this year and have self-seeded into the gravel.

they are pretty...very different...look like blueberry blossoms a bit! just looked at the beeb, likes chalky soils. is that why it's happy in your garden? they even gave companion ideas... you have a great eye for plants, Spritzhenry.

Thanks, Lori! No, the soil here is neutral. I keep finding more seedlings - but the cold weather will kill them I'm afraid.

could you snag a few and put them under cover? greenhouse, maybe?

I thought Cerinthe was a Hardy Plant Spritz? :) Iv 1 in My Garden around My Bird Table & that 2 has Self Seeded all around :)

No - sadly, they are tender and need to be treated as annuals - but they do seed themselves once you've got them! Can't be bad, can it?
Lori - I haven't any space left and I still have a tray of Calendula seedlings to prick out too....
